Papelbon set the team rookie record for saves with his 25th on 7/2/06 and received the largest number of votes by players and managers for selection to the 2006 All Star Game. He earned his 35th save (MLB rookie record) against the Blue Jays on 8/31/06 but was removed from the game on 9/1/06 with pain in his right shoulder. He is currently listed as "day to day" pending testing.
