Watch
I am a Japanese. I watched Matsusaka and Okajima for many years.
Matsuzaka was the best pitcher in a Japanese league. Okajima was not such a good pitcher in a Japanese league. Matsuzaka cannot adjust to MLB yet though Okajima was able to adjust to MLB. For instance, the ball is different in MLB from the league in Japan. (material, size, and weight) The MLB official recognition ball is a little larger and is heavier than the ball of Japan. Those differences do not influence the pitching. The MLB official recognition ball is slipperier than the ball of Japan. It considerably has the influence in the pitching. It is a cause in do not stabilize Matsuzaka's pitching. |
